15 Actors Who Desperately Need A Hit

4. Sharon Stone

Almost immediately after Sharon Stone was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for 1995's Casino, her career fell off a cliff from which it's never really recovered.

The only remote box office hit she's had since is Jim Jarmusch's Broken Flowers, a far cry from her string of commercial smashes in the 1990s, namely Total Recall, Basic Instinct, Sliver, The Specialist and Casino, which collectively grossed over $1 billion worldwide.

Stone's career downturn is more indicative of the difficult place in Hollywood for middle-aged women, considering that Stone's a terrific actress and has taken care of herself looks-wise.

With rumours swirling that she may appear in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp, she'd almost definitely end up with the biggest box office hit of her career to date. Here's to hoping.
