16 Actors Confirmed For Star Wars Episode IX
Easily the most impressive cast the franchise has ever seen.
Though it's in a particularly tight spot given the rough reception of both The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story, J.J. Abrams and Episode IX's rollout of details looks to be righting the ship.
We've heard rumours of Rey's parentage playing a major role, the exploration of Snoke's rise to power, how Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker might not be laid to rest after all, and now, an official cast list reveals a whole lot more.
Coming straight from Disney themselves, Episode IX has the most head-turning cast of any Star Wars to date. It reportedly marks the "end of the Skywalker saga", and as such - or because Disney REALLY need a win right now - every major player in the franchise is on the list.
Assumedly we'll also pick up where we left off with Rey and Kylo, who following a powerful alliance at one point could turn into a romance, or perhaps another "save them from themselves" redemption arc, a la Luke and Vader.
If this truly is the "end" of the Skywalkers, that spells the end of a landmark chapter in Star Wars history. It's fitting then, that the cast is outstanding.
