17 Biggest Guilty Pleasure Movies Of 2017

13. The House

The House is, by any conventional metric, bottom-of-the-barrel studio comedy fare and certainly one of Will Ferrell's worst-ever genre vehicles.

However, there's one reason in particular that the film kinda-sorta-works if you're four beers in and have nothing better to do: Jason Mantzoukas.

As Ferrell's gambling addict pal Frank, Mantzoukas wrestles the movie away from leads Ferrell and Amy Poehler, stealing every scene he's in and generally being responsible for most of the movie's big laughs.

It's an unquestionably low-effort comedy, but it's harmless enough, and you do get to see Jeremy Renner be set on fire during the climax, so that's another plus.
