With 23 films released across a period of 50 years, the James Bond series has provided a source of employment for an array of actors across the globe, many of whom were already relatively established stars of the screen upon their casting, such as Christopher Walken, Jonathan Pryce and the franchise’s newest villain, Javier Bardem.
However there are many actors and actresses, though they now known for their work in other productions, who have appeared in minor roles throughout the franchise, along with individuals best known for their work in other fields of entertainment whose presence you wouldn’t expect in a blockbuster film production. To celebrate these 23 films, here are 23 such people.
The list only includes films from the official James Bond canon, therefore the 1967 spoof of Casino Royale (which included a multitude of stars, in parts big and small) and the 1983 non-official Connery film Never Say Never Again (which featured appearances a young Rowan Atkinson, best known for his performances as Mr Bean and Blackadder, alongside the likes of Max von Sydow and Kim Basinger) are not featured.

Benicio was one of the few listed there I knew of. Michael Madsen too.
I had no idea Stana Katic was in QoS! But then, I didn’t know she was in Heroes too.
Omid Djalili’s character was actually a foreman at Elektra King’s oil pipeline, not Zukovsky’s factory.
Indeed he was, only watched that one last week so I have no idea why I got him mixed up. I do apologise.
You forgot to mention that I, Christopher Walken belong to the club of Oscar winners who have appeared in a James Bond film. HO!
Walken was also the only actor who appeared in a James Bond AFTER winning their Oscar, until Halle Berry played the role of Jynx in Die Another Day, followed by Javier Bardem in Skyfall. Connery and Dench both won theirs following their Bond tenures had begun (and in the case of Connery, long after he finished)
