25 Quentin Tarantino Characters You Didn't Know Were Related

11. Paula & Dr King Schultz

Relationship: Husband And Wife Not related, per se, but by marriage according to one enduring theory.

King Schultz moved to America from his wealthy family life in Germany, practicing dentistry until 1853, before switching professions to bounty hunting until his death 6 years later. According to the theory, at some point in the 1840s or '50s he married a younger woman who subsequently left him (either because of his change of profession or inspiring it) and outlived him by more than 35 years.

The proof of that comes in Kill Bill 2, in which The Bride is buried in the grave of that supposed wife - Paula Schultz - who died alone and was buried in a Lonely Grave. Perhaps they didn't separate officially?

Dr Schultz was supposedly turned on to the killing game by vengeance after the death of his brother and it could be that his relationship was ruined by that singular obsession. That might account for why Paula kept his name and died lonely - broken-hearted at how they fell apart.
