5 Greatest Foreign Fight Scenes. Ever.

5. Protector

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkJ602nb0Vo Tony Ja may have been a mediocre professional Muay Thai fighter but you can't discount his ability to whoop-ass on the silver screen. This roughly 4 minute clip finds Tony pissed and looking for his elephant. Upon arrival at a weird restaurant/brothel that, for some reason, has the most bad-ass ascending, spiral staircase in history, he begins by opening the double doors to the place with a dude's face. From there, Tony proceeds to go upstairs all while kicking dudes in the face, shin, chest, and face. The place is peppered with hookers and a guy with a gimp mask. Guy with gimp mask gets slapped around a little; the hookers do not. After that, Tony continues to bounce heads through decorations, chuck guys off the edge, break arms, and generally pulverize all that stands in his way. Tony even does a Tiger Knee through a kitchen sink. Yes, there is a kitchen sink just chilling in the hallway whose sole purpose it seems is for Tony to disintegrate en route to rupturing some guy's spleen. What makes this scene exceptional, besides the quality of fighting, is the fact that it is one continous shot. No 45 cuts in a minute that irritated the hell out of me in the Bourne sequels. That coupled with the fact that the punches and kicks are quasi-believable make it even more satisfying. The only disappointments in this are that some guys go down like a wet blanket but when Tony is pissed, who can blame them?

Some guys wish they had height. Others lament that they do not have beautiful blue eyes. Still others yearn for a man-status beard. I have all 3. I love movies, video games, sports, and books. I'm an athletic nerd. I hope everyone enjoys my articles and realizes that they are written by a fan; not a snooty know-it-all.
