Last week Warner Bros. and JK Rowling announce that they were planning a spin off to the Harry Potter series. Based on Newt Scamander, the author of Harry's textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, the film will be set in the wizarding world but unrelated to Harry's story. But what other parts of the wizarding world could Rowling bring to life? I've composed a list of 5 possible spin offs, sequels and prequels that we could see in the future (Note - if Warner Bros. or JK Rowling like any of my ideas we can talk money).
5. Potter and Weasley
We know that Voldemort was defeated at the end of the Battle of Hogwarts, but what happened to his Death Eaters? I'm sure they weren't simply accepted into society with welcoming arms. Rowling revealed that Harry and Ron became Aurors following the battle, and that Hermione delved into wizarding law. This could be a police-drama, kind of a magical Starsky and Hutch. We could also see exactly what happened to the Malfoy family. We were led to believe that because (in the films) they fled the battle, they were accepted back into the magical society, since Harry and Draco at least acknowledged each other at Kings Cross, but what happened between those dates? I for one would love to see this explored, a moral issue for Harry to face as he arrests so many of their former colleagues, many of whom no doubt have stories to tell of their wicked ways.
