5 Potential X-Men Movies To Follow Apocalypse

There's never been a more exciting time to be an X-Men movie fan.

It's an interesting time to be an X-Fan. This summer's Days of Future Past, the seventh entry into the franchise, will mark perhaps the biggest moment in the series to date. Both generations of X-Men will be united in a convoluted, time-travelling plot. The father of X-Men, and the man who started the Superhero Movie as a feasible genre of its own, will return to the Director's seat after an 11-year absence. It's reportedly the second most expensive movie that 20th Century Fox has ever produced. None of the movies so far have broken the $500-million barrier. It's success could ensure the future of the Superhero movie for a good long while, but its failure could easily spell the beginning of the end. So in true Hollywood fashion, an eighth X-Men movie has already been greenlit, only 2 years after Days Of Future Past. X-Men: Apocalypse is going to be business as usual as McAvoy, Fassbender and the younger team finally take over as the X-Men from the likes of Sirs Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. This is presumably going ahead regardless of the critical & commercial reception towards Days Of Future Past. So we're going to look forward for a moment ourselves. There's been all sorts of X-Men movies rumoured or in development. Read on as we try to analyse which one is likely to come after 2016's Apocalypse, as well as the likelihood that these hotly-anticipated sequels and spinoffs will ever arrive on our screen. A lot of it will rest on the success of Days Of Future Past. So if you want to see any of these in multiplexes any time soon, you'd better hope it's a massive hit!
