5 Reasons Mad Max: Fury Road Is The Film Of The Summer (Video Review)

WhatCulture.com's Alex Leadbeater & Sam Driver salivate over Fury Road in Cannes!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-UYQoseUXc Mad Max: Fury Road is finally out and if all the glowing reviews and incredibly positive Twitter buzz didn't fill you in, it's pretty damn brilliant (our print review HERE). Max Rockatansky may have been a cult hero since he first vengefully mowed down bikers in 1979, but now he's made the jump to the mainstream in one of the best mature sci-fi films in years. In a year dominated by returns from long-absent franchises - the next few months see Terminator, Star Wars, Jurassic Park and James Bond all back on the big screen for a modern-inspired reboot - Fury Road always seemed like an out-there project, but now it's clear entrusting series creator George Miller with free reign was far and above the right move. Following its screening in Cannes, we gave our first impressions and discussed why it's very likely to end up being the film of the summer. Check the (spoiler-free) video above to see our discussion and you can also see the written review here. Mad Max: Fury Road is out now in the UK and the US.
