7 Movie Heroes You Didn't Realise Never Learnt A Thing

1. Woody In Toy Story 3

TOY STORY 3 How much you enjoy Toy Story 3 really hinges on how much you can silence the voice in your head telling you you've seen it all before. For all the hilarity of the middle daycare section, what most people take away from the film is toys moving on from Andy, a sentiment already covered on much more tragic terms in Toy Story 2. Jessie knows all too well how children grow up, having already been dumped by one owner before, which she tragically sings to Woody in (controversy alert) the best film in the series. What puts the film on this list, however, is that it's not just the audience who are aware of this discrepancy. Come the end of Toy Story 2, Woody knew Andy was going to grow up and was happy to enjoy it while it lasts. When ten years pass, however, he€™s a lot less happy and engineers it so he and the rest of his buddies (sadly lacking Bo Peep) can be with another child. Everyone cries. The end. Except that all Woody€™s doing is prolonging the inevitable. He knows this process happens with every child and experienced first and second hand the danger it can be. The film presents this slapdash solution as a happy ever after. In ten years time when they€™re stuck in the attic it€™ll be anything but. Do you have any more protagonists who never seem to learn?
