Buffy the Vampire Slayer's final season aired in 2003, while the spin-off series Angel aired its final season a year later, so we've not had a live action Buffyverse kick for ten years - can you believe that?! Anyway, it's probably fair to say that Joss Whedon is done with the shows, despite the fact that rumours of spin-offs and one-off episodes/television movies have persisted since they ended. The "canon" comic books have somewhat provided our Buffyverse fix in recent years, but they will never replace the television shows and Buffyverse fans around the world would love to see the slayer in live action again - so why not in a new movie? In 1992, a Buffy movie was the stimulus for the franchise, with Kristy Swanson taking the titular role before Sarah Michelle Gellar took over for the television series, and a new one - even completely rebooted - would surely go down a treat. As well as new actors and actresses for the starring and supporting roles, a question about who the heck the villain for the movie would be would surely be on the lips of those awaiting the potential movie. It would be very hard to utilise the season-long "big bads" from the television series - such as Glory and Adam - as the back stories for such characters require more development than movie time restrictions could offer. \So which villains from the series could be used in a movie?
