Success is a marvelous thing, especially in high doses. And as we’re coming to the end of the 2012 year, there are certainly some in the filmmaking medium that have had a bit more success than others. The following list compiles some of the major hits of these actors, musicians, directors, and writers, as well as a few of their future endeavors in the coming new year. So, let’s celebrate their success once again with them, what do you say?

8. Robert Downey Jr.
Apart from being Hollywood’s current blockbuster king, Downey Jr. has been riding the success of Tony Stark to all new heights: possibly some that include a +50 million dollar paycheck for a reward in being in the third biggest film of all time. Thanks to some smart moves by Downey’s agents, it’s completely possible that he’ll be tailing away this year with the biggest acting paycheck of all time, which all but solidifies his star power.
Not to mention the fact that the man is rapidly becoming one of the most loved celebrities to the public, Mr. Downey Stark has a lot to celebrate, including the second sequel to his Iron Man franchise early next year, which seems to promise to be the best outing yet for him.
