8 Facts We Actually Know About The MCU Spider-Man

Yeah, Marvel seem to know what they're doing.

At long, long last Spider-Man can finally do everything a Spider-Man can (as long as that thing isn't pally up with Wolverine or the Human Torch); the web-slinger's back at Marvel! It's been a whirlwind year for fans of teenagers bit by radioactive spiders. Prospective movies as diverse and ridiculous as Sinister Six and Aunt May have been canned (along with the unappetising The Amazing Spider-Man 3), the complex legal jargon of superhero contracts has been reworked and the first movie starring the new Spidey has already been cast, shot and is now well into the edit. Tom Holland may have been "that kid from The Impossible" at the start of 2015, but he left it as the star of some of the most anticipated upcoming movies. Such quick development, however, has led to some confusion of what exactly we know. Some people still seem to regard Spider-Man's appearance in Captain America: Civil War (a part of the original announcement) as a whopping rumour, while many early nuggets of speculation (think Iron Spider) have been taken as gospel far too quickly. Time to set the record straight; taking a look through the words of Kevin Feige and other sources, let's have a look at all the facts we really know about the MCU's Spider-Man.
