8 Most Genius Moments In Deadpool's Marketing Campaign

Batman v Superman? Civil War? Who gives a s**t? 2016 is all about Deadpool!

When Ryan Reynolds was cast in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it was like a dream come true. His appearance there was supposed to set up a solo movie for the fan-favourite character, but Fox being Fox, his appearance was f**ked up so badly that the idea was shelved. For some reason, those responsible for that joke of a movie decided to would be a good idea to sew his mouth shut and decapitate him. Needless to say, the response was overwhelmingly negative. Despite that, the character's devoted fanbase never gave up hope that the Merc with the Mouth would get the big screen outing he deserved. Ryan Reynolds was constantly asked for updates, but as those steadily became more vague and less hopeful as the years passed, it became clear that Deadpool was going to be one of those movies forever stuck in development hell. Then, everything changed. With around six months before Deadpool finally reaches the screen, the mind boggles at just how much fun it's going to be when Fox really kicks the movie's marketing campaign into high gear. Up until this point, it's already been hilariously bizarre and amazingly different to any other comic book movie, something which is appropriate when you consider the fact that Deadpool is such a unique character. So what have been the highlights so far?
