8 Reasons Splitting Batman V Superman In Two Would Ruin The Movie

It feels like some new piece of news about Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice breaks every other week, but unlike the needless inclusion of Kahina the Seer or another take on the Wayne's murder, the latest story that has gripped the internet over the past few days is something potentially movie-ruining. Broken by Ain't It Cool News after an image reportedly from the upcoming teaser popped up on Imgur, it sounds like the movie could be a two parter, with Enter The Knight coming in October 2015 and Dawn Of Justice hitting on the previously announced March 2016 date. Henry Cavill has since denied the split, but in the lack of official word that could just be downplaying it before an official reveal - there's plenty to suggest this may be the master-stroke Warner Bros. are trying to kick off the DC Cinematic Universe with. Back when the film was in the early stages, there were rumours it would be shot back-to-back with another movie, assumed to be a Justice League picture. And while this has been since denied by the release of the studio's slate up to 2020, with the production of the super-powered versus flick running over ten months (more than enough to make it two parts), there's scope that Zack Snyder and co. have been making two movies at once. And then there's the pushing of the movie back from Summer 2015, first to May 2016, then to March of that year. A perplexing decision at the time, the former suggesting a troubled production and the latter showing a fear of Marvel (who are bringing Captain America: Civil War in May 2016) and potentially a lack of faith in the project - March is slap-bang in the middle of the box office's purgatory month where bombs are sent to hopefully avoid too much media attention (see John Carter). But if Dawn Of Justice is actually Part 2, it makes some sort of sense, with Warner doubling down in a bid to create their own unique distribution method. However, while it may have the money-men all excited, it's unlikely to improve what is already a shaky prospect. So with Batman V Superman being a two-parter a definite possibility, it's time to look at eight reasons why this latest development could kill the movie.
