8 Things You Need To Know About The New Pixar Movies

What to expect from that excitable hopping lamp in 2015.

There aren't many things in this world that have the ability to generate as much giddy excitement as a new Pixar movie. Indeed, the prospect of two releases from this famous film studio in 2015 is enough to send some fans bubbling over into delirium.

It's all justified too, with the animation powerhouse having churned out a colourful catalogue of sleek-looking CGI films over the years all buoyed by fascinating plots that have earned commercial and critical acclaim. The good news is that two utterly unique releases from the production company are all set to hit cinemas this year.

First up is Inside Out, a fantasy-comedy due for release around June. The movie presents viewers with a peculiar concept, as the film takes place inside an 11-year-old girl's head as her five emotions of Sadness, Joy, Disgust, Anger and Fear jostle to take over her body.

A little later in the calendar (around November-time) arrives The Good Dinosaur, a more familiar-feeling Pixar release that puts a colourful, cuddly spin on the roaring dinos of the Jurassic age. The movie follows one particular Apatosaurus named Arlo, a good-natured, warm-hearted creature voiced by Lucas Jeff.

Anyone who's seen the press releases for Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur will be aware of these main plot ideas and concepts, but listed here are eight things you need to know about both movies before you woozily drift into their screenings drunk on excitement later in 2015.
