7. Emanuelle's Revenge (1975)
A rather bizarre entry into the Emanuelle (non official) canon, this film is directed by Joe D'Amato and scripted by one Bruno Mattei. It is in the period before the Black Emanuelle and Laura Gemser era, but Joe D'Amato proved his sleaze credentials here by combining sex and violence in a seedy manner. In this film, Emanuelle's sister commits suicide after she is tormented by her abusive husband. Emanuelle (Rosemarie Lindt) arrives as an avenging angel. She ties him up and forces him through a two way mirror to watch her having all kinds of sex with all kinds of people. Of course he goes nuts.. This is a little known Emanuelle film from Joe D'Amato - made before he had jumped into the pool of hardcore sex and ultra violence. It is still pretty strong stuff though - the film features meat cleavers, cannibalism, lesbianism, rapes which are made to look like she really enjoyed it, drug abuse, orgies. There is really nothing to recommend the film about except for its high sleaze quotient which will please those who are that way inclined. If you are in anyway a fan of Italian horror or sleaze cinema, this film will tickle your fancy. If you are part of the Moral Majority, don't say I didn't warn you!
