Ant-Man: 10 Directors Who Could Replace Edgar Wright

10. Rian Johnson

Over Rian Johnson's three features to date, he's proven himself to be a stylish and smart director, beginning with the low-fi neo-noir Brick, before taking on the breezy adventure flick The Brothers Bloom, and then delivering easily his most accomplished work to date, Looper. Looper proved that he can work well with special effects, and given the relatively low $30 million budget, he is also clearly an extremely economic filmmaker, considering that the movie looked as though it cost significantly more than that. In addition to these successes, Johnson has also directed several episodes of hit show Breaking Bad. How Likely Is it? Johnson could totally knock it out of the park for sure, though to date he has also written all three of the movies he's directed, so he may be averse to working from someone else's script. On the other hand, his slate isn't exactly busy right now, so if Marvel came a-knocking, perhaps he'd relish the opportunity to try something new. Definitely a possibility, but not right at the top of the pile. 5/10
