4. The Cinematography Is Bland As Hell

One of the biggest complaints about the original Ant-Man was that, aside from the impressive macro-photography incorporated into the shrinking scenes, it basically had all the visual flair of a TV show.

Sadly the same basically seems to be true of the sequel, with most scenes in the new trailer being grossly over-lit to the point where they don't feel cinematic at all, and again, resemble a rather expensive TV episode.

Considering that the MCU has served up some of its most visually lavish and ambitious offerings in recent years - Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War - it's a shame that even hiring two-time Oscar nominated cinematographer Dante Spinotti (L.A. Confidential, The Insider) hasn't done much to boost the lensing quality.
