Armie Hammer Has No Interest In Batman Movie Role

armie hammer j egdar Armie Hammer was once signed on to play Batman in the failed Justice League film, but now it looks like the Lone Ranger is distancing himself from any future DC project. Hammer€™s remarks came in reaction to Zack Snyder€™s announcement of an upcoming Superman/Batman movie in 2015, as he looked to rule himself out the vacant Batman role. Yet despite signing on to play the Caped Crusader in 2007 for George Miller€™s Justice League film, the 26-year-old announced he is disinterested with the whole superhero genre. €œI€™m not actually a big fan of superhero films,€ he said in an interview with Metro. €œIf you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what€™s the point?€ While the film is still very much in the early planning stages €“ Snyder is currently co-writing the script with long-time Dark Knight scribe David Goyer €“ anticipation around the superhero team-up has already reached fever pitch. But Hammer, who is currently filming The Man From U.N.C.L.E alongside Henry Cavill €“ who alongside Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne has re-signed on €“ doesn€™t see himself duelling his co-star anytime soon. In fact, he believes that if he were to lock horns/spandex with Cavill so soon after their upcoming film, people would start having ideas about him and the Brit. He said: "I think if Henry and I did that film and then a superhero film straight after, people might start to wonder about us." Superman vs. Batman is directed by Zack Snyder and set for a 2015 release.
