Avengers: Age Of Ultron - How Much Did The Actors Earn?

1. Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man)

Age Of Ultron Paycheck: $40 million Although his high salaries are well documented, Robert Downey Jr€™s eye-watering fees still make for shocking reading when lined up next to the considerably smaller ones his fellow Avengers have commanded. After the huge success of the first two Iron Man movies, which made a combined box office total of just over $1 billion, Downey Jr€™s team set out to renegotiate his contract with Marvel Studios. With a new deal in place that meant he was entitled to box office bonuses and percentage takes from any MCU film using him or his likeness as Tony Stark and/or Iron Man, RDJ was raking in serious money before long. After the dust settled on the first Avengers movie, Marvel are said to have paid him up to $80 million for that picture alone. His most recent pay-day for Avengers: Age of Ultron is reported to be a hefty $40 million up front, with the 50-year-old agreeing the same wage for his starring role in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. This makes him Marvel€™s highest paid hero by some considerable distance and will more than likely see him top the Forbes list of Hollywood€™s highest-paid stars for a fourth year running in a time when the average actor€™s salary is on the decline. The mountains of money have failed to go his head, however, and the actor is far from stingy when it comes to his cash. RDJ supports a total of 12 charities and foundations including Stand Up To Cancer and Clothes Off Our Back, and recently showed up at a hotel in character to present a young disabled boy with an Iron Man style bionic limb. Talk about a real life hero. How much do you think The Avengers should be paid? Let us know what you think down in the comments.

Phil still hasn't got round to writing a profile yet, as he has an unhealthy amount of box sets on the go.
