With Joss Whedon's take on the most famous of superhero ensembles hitting cinemas coming to UK cinemas in a little under a month on 26th April, Marvel and Disney have released six brand new behind-the-scenes images showing off Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury and the team preparing for shots. Directed by Whedon, the film stars Chris Evans (Captain America/Steve Rogers), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye/Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man/Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), and Tom Hiddleston (Loki), along with co-star appearances from Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, and Stellen Skarsgard co-star.

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in €œIron Man,€ €œThe Incredible Hulk,€ €œIron Man 2,€ €œThor,€ and €œCaptain America: The First Avenger,€ €œAvengers Assemble€ is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1963, €œMarvel€™s The Avengers€ brings together the mightiest super hero characters as they all assemble together on screen for the first time. The star studded cast of super heroes will be joined by Cobie Smulders (€œHow I Met Your Mother) as Agent Maria Hill of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as Tom Hiddleston (€œWallander€) and Stellan Skarsgård (€œAngels & Demons,€ €œMamma Mia!€) who will both reprise their respective roles as Loki and Professor Erik Selvig from the upcoming Marvel Studios€™ feature €œThor.€ Avengers Assemble - or The Avengers if you're lucky enough to be in America, and not subjected to silly marketing decisions - is released in cinemas on 26th April in the UK and May 4th in the US.
