Avengers: Endgame - 10 Rumours That Proved To Be Bull

There were (thankfully) no X-Men.

After an excruciating year-long wait, Avengers: Endgame is finally out in the wild, and the easy critical consensus is that the Russo brothers have delivered a fittingly epic and emotional finale to the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And it goes without saying that, following Infinity War's brutal, literally Earth-shattering cliffhanger ending, fan speculation about Endgame reached a fever-pitch the likes of which pop-culture has never seen before.

Everybody and their grandma had a pocket-full of theories about where the conclusion to the Infinity Saga would be going, and as fans have made abundantly clear over the last 12 months, their penchant for rustling up creative fan theories should never be under-estimated.

But the truth is something else altogether, as proven by Endgame's frequently expectation-defying end result.

The vast majority of the popular theories were quickly thrown out, and even some of the more convincing rumours and "leaks" were proven to be nothing more than acts of misdirection or misinformation.

And so, from totally plausible ideas about the movie's much-debated time travel mechanics, to more outlandish wishful thinking from fans, these are the biggest rumours that turned out to be nothing more than pure bull...
