Avengers: Endgame Super Bowl Trailer Breakdown - 13 Things You Need To See

1. Did They Edit A Character Out?

There are a couple of moments within the trailer that look like Marvel could be really trying to trick us. Of course, that should be expected of the entire marketing campaign - nothing is as it seems because they don't want to give anything away - but these two are particularly notable.

The first comes when Natasha, Steve, Rhodey, and Bruce are outside Avengers HQ at night, with a gap between Bruce and Rhodey that might be where another person has been removed. More obvious is in the big team shot at the end, as there's a sizeable gap between Ant-Man and War Machine.

The question, then, is if they have indeed removed someone, then who is it? An obvious answer is Tony Stark or Nebula, since they'll be back on Earth at some point, but maybe that's too easy. It could be Hawkeye/Ronin, but then the timing is off based on Black Widow's hair. It could be an Asgardian, but again the timing doesn't quite seem to add up. Shuri, who the first trailer said was missing, is believed to still be alive, so it might be her. It could even be Captain Marvel, although it's more likely she'll turn up later in the movie. A more out there idea is that it's Hulk, having been separated from Bruce Banner (there is basis in the comics for that being possible), but again it's hard to say with any certainty.

Any of them would be spoiler-y enough for Marvel to want to remove them though, and it's not like they haven't altered scenes before for that very reason, so there's a good chance that is what's happened here.
