With Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 safely in theatres, there are now just three entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe between us and next year's Avengers: Infinity War.

Set to detail the fight between the MCU's slate of heroes and The Mad Titan, Thanos - and his deadly Infinity Gauntlet - Infinity War is, by far, the biggest movie that Marvel Studios have ever put out, and quite possibly the biggest comic-book movie in history.

It's an event that will shake the very foundations of Marvel's cinematic franchise, with the team behind the film promising that it will affect dozens and dozens of characters in a big way and have lasting implications for the future of the MCU over the next couple of years and beyond.

And given that the project isn't too far out - and blockbusters of this scale are in production years in advance of release - there's plenty of information in the wild.

From information on the story and links to other MCU movies, to leaked set images and possible plot spoilers, now is the perfect time to assess everything we know so far about Avengers: Infinity War.

10. The Major Link To Avengers: Age Of Ultron

As you'd expect with a production of this scale, Avengers: Infinity War has had several behind-the-scenes images leaked from its set.

One of the more interesting came from the film's Scotland set, with a leaked snap of a majestic statue sparking a sense of déjà vu among fans.

On the right you can see the leaked image of the statue, and on the left, a still from Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

The still is from a sequence halfway through the film, with Thor and Erik Selvig going on a side-quest to discover the true meaning behind Thor's earlier, Scarlet Witch-induced vision.

The two reach a pool and Thor clambers in, and the statue can be seen, briefly, in a vision that he has here.

It's unclear how the two connect, but most of Thor's Asgardian visions in Age Of Ultron were pretty ominous. Is this an indication that those visions will ring true? Or is the statue merely a prop on an Asgardian set? So many questions!
