It's almost time to say goodbye. Not just to Phase 3 (though that won't come until 2019), but to the ten-years-long Infinity Saga, to Thanos and to some of the original characters who built up the MCU from the early days of 2008's Iron Man. That might sound dramatic, but when you've been primed to accept Infinity War and Avengers 4 as "an end" as we all have, it's hard not to get a little gloomy.
But before the Infinity Saga ends - hell, even before the second part of it probably introduces time travel and multiverse travel (maybe) - there's the small matter of Thanos' actual quest for the Infinity Stones to deal with. That will be the main thrust of Infinity War, of course, and with the marketing campaign clicking into its very final gears (as the almost daily TV spots begin revealing more than most fans will even want to see) it's starting to feel like we might know most of the film's events.
So with that in mind, why not try and map those events out based on trailer reveals, rumours and speculation? Inevitably, there'll still be surprises along the way, but for now let's hope that they're hidden until the film comes out.
Obviously, there's a chance that these events could happen in another order, but it's now getting to the point where we can pretty precisely map out most of the big events that happen in the Russos' epic ensemble. So, how does it all go down?
