Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Isn't Even Finished Yet

So don't expect to see it imminently...

It might be time to just calm down about the Avengers: Infinity War trailer, to be honest. For the past few months, there's been lots of talk of when the teaser - which most assume will probably be a recut version of the footage shown at Comic Con and D23 - will land, and the impending arrival of Thor: Ragnarok to screens suggests it won't be all that long.

One rumour recently suggested we'd see the trailer out of New York Comic Con, but that's now been and gone, so the next opportunities are probably either the launch date for Inhumans or Ragnarok's cinema release date. But, that assumes there's even a trailer ready by either of those points - because there certainly isn't now.

That's according to Marvel Studios co-president, Louis D’Esposito who took to Twitter to share the fact that the teaser is still being worked on:

That might not mean a long wait to see the finished product, but it's certainly not going to be the next couple of days.

It also makes you wonder whether they're putting together something entirely new, rather than just recutting the footage already seen, given that it's taking this long to put it together. Unless that footage was really, really lacking gloss when it debuted. Let's hope it is something at least slightly different to what those lucky enough to attend the cons got to see, if only so we can all be on the same level.
