Batman V Superman: 7 Reasons Ben Affleck Is The Best Batman Ever

After Daredevil, who ever thought such a thing was possible?

Though Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has opened to largely negative reviews, mostly due to its incoherent plottings, clumsy action and questionable character motives, there's one particular aspect of the movie that fans probably weren't expecting to be quite as great as it is: Ben Affleck's portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Seriously: look through the endless slew of scathing reviews for the film, and you'll notice that very few of them have anything bad to say about Ben Affleck (even Henry Cavill has taken more flack); against the odds, his seething and surprisingly vicious take on the iconic character managed to win around many of the critics who opposed his initial casting. Attacked and ridiculed by the fans in the wake of his casting announcement back in 2013, who'd have thought that Ben Affleck - yes, the guy who once starred in Gigli and Daredevil in the very same year - would emerge as not only the strongest aspect of Zack Snyder's lackluster sequel to Man of Steel, but quite possibly the best Batman ever? Pitchforks at the ready...
