Batman v Superman Trailer Incoming With New Score
Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL putting together specially-composed music for the promo.
Cinema audiences will get their first chance to see a teaser for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in May when it rolls out with Mad Max Fury Road. As is the way these days, however, it's expected to premiere on the internet in the preceding few days, so somewhere between May 10th and 14th. What will the trailer show us? Well, presumably Batman, and Superman. But it's hard to be sure. All we know about the content so far is that there's some original music being written. According to The Playlist, the film's composers, Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL, are prepping some original music for the promo. Zimmer has previously revealed that he'll be writing the non-Batman music for the film, with Junkie XL coming in to handle the soundtracking of the Dark Knight. It's all to prevent Zimmer having to conceive of two Batman soundtracks, as he already worked on the character pretty comprehensively for Nolan's trilogy. The first teaser for Man of Steel was released in two variants - one with a Jor El voiceover, the other with Jonathan Kent. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that we'll be getting separate Batman and Superman versions of this new Dawn of Justice teaser. Or maybe they'll keep that trick back for later. They will do it, or something like it, at some point, though. I'm convinced/ Batman v. Superman is set for release in both the US and UK and March 25th, 2016. That's almost a whole year from now.
