I've never seen the 1970's Canadian horror flick
Black Christmas but I keep hearing about it now and again mainly from the huge cult following the movie has achieved. The movie starred
Margot Kidder and was based on a deranged psychopatch killer who murdered soroity girls at Christmas. Well as usual Hollywood have decided that we need to see a remake and on Christmas day this year,
Black Christmas will once again be released in cinema's this time starring
Buffy'sMichelle Trachtenberg,
Katie Cassidy and
Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Bloody Disgusting have the scoop on the one sheet poster for the horror flick, which quite frankly I have little to no hope for. I can't think of one slasher film in the last five years (or longer infact) that was a remake worth seeing, including the Japenese ones. Black Christmas looks to be just the latest in a long line of shitty horror remakes that are forgotten about quicker than a bad meal.... don't mind the poster though. source -
