Throughout the years, James Bond has given us some classic bond girls to go with the spy hero himself. But for this article, we’re not looking at the best bond girls. Instead, we are looking at the ones we (or more I) would most want to see become a Bond Girl.
It’s interesting because a lot of actresses would dream of starring alongside the famous super spy himself, but when you think about it, most of the bond girls are unknowns and very little are well known Hollywood starlets (Halle Berry being one of the rare exceptions).
So without further ado, here is a countdown of the top ten actresses we would want as a bond girl.
10. Julia Roberts
She has been a Hollywood darling since the late 80s, and yet looking at Julia Roberts, she has barely aged at all. Most of her films have been romantic comedies or light hearted dramas, which raises the question of why she’s on this list in the first place ? The primary reason for me is because her star status alone would be enough to turn new heads towards the Bond franchise, and give the film a star studded name aside from 007 himself.
Plus this in many ways would be new ground for the actress, as very few of her films have dabbled into action and thrillers.

rachel weisz is the true bond girl. she’s married to daniel craig. that would be great to see her as a bond girl
The only actress that I can get behind from this list is Marion Cottilard, she has the looks and the aura of a perfect Bond Girl, plus she can always play that french femme fatale even in her sleep

No no no no no no! I absolutely refuse to have that wretched Roberts in a James Bond film.
Aside from that, if you look at the most recent Bond girls, almost none of these fit the bill. I would go with Marion Cotillard, and possibly Rachel Weisz. The others are great, but don’t have the profile of a Bond girl. And Roberts is out of the question. Get real!
Marion Cotillard in a Christopher Nolan Bond film with Kevin Spacey as a Blofeld esque villain is something that could potentially top Skyfall because Lord knows whoever does the next installment has their work cut out for them
Only Rachel Weisz and Marion Cottilard are plausible. Every other actress on this list would be a downgrade. Casting jessica Alba would set back the Bond franchise by years. I think that specifically James Bond girls should be somewhat “exotic” actresses (meaning non-American and/or non mainstream). Here are a few good contenders…

One mainstream actress I would not mind is Lena Headey

If the next Bond film is going to be a remake of Live and Let Die, you’re probably better off with a talented unknown. But let me add Yvonne Strahovski to the mix. She already has spy experience in the TV show Chuck (did great work), young but not too young for Daniel Craig (30 years old), and as gorgeous as any Bond girl we’ve ever seen.
