Bradley Cooper Officially Cast As Rocket Raccoon In Guardians Of The Galaxy

Rocket It's official, Bradley Cooper will voice Rocket Raccoon in Marvel Studios' upcoming space opera Guardians of the Galaxy! The actor had been rumoured to be in talks with Marvel for the role, his first voice-over part, for the last week now but Marvel announced on their website today that Cooper will officially be joining the cast to voice the talking raccoon who loves his guns. Rocket Raccoon was the last part to be cast in the team superhero movie which is already underway with filming in England. Cooper joins Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, and Vin Diesel as Groot in the other voice-over part of the line-up. Rocket Raccoon is a raccoon-lookalike alien with a penchant for big guns and is also a master tactician. He's best friends with Groot and in the Marvel comics was captain of a starship. Cooper was also recently cast to play Lance Armstrong in Warner Bros' biopic of the shamed former champion cyclist, and can next be seen in David O Russell's American Hustle, out in December. Directed by James Gunn and released by Marvel Studios, Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled for release on 1 August 2014.
