Campbell says "Never Say Never" for Bond 22

14.jpgI've had a funny feeling for months now that Martin Campbell may well return for the Casino Royale sequel, even though time and time again the director denied it. I first said it back in November and then again last month. I just couldn't see why the director would NOT want do it? Casino Royale was the most critically acclaimed Bond movie of my lifetime and proved a huge hit with movie-goers, many of whom thought that Die Another Day had killed Bond forever. USA Today spoke with the director who is maybe starting to re-consider his decision not to return.... "After GoldenEye, I was asked to do subsequent Bonds, but I declined because it felt as if I€™d be repeating myself. But this one is based on a Bond that€™s more interesting. To be honest, I would just say I€™d never say never.€ Well that's far from a flat out denial like we have heard in the past. My personal feeling is I'm about 80% sure he is going to return. You just know the studio and Daniel Craig are going to push hard for him to come back and also and the lure of directing another Bond might just be too much for him to turn down. A quick tidbit for those rushing out to buy the new Casino Royale dvd that's in U.K. stores today, Campbell has confirmed that another version with deleted scenes and extra commentaries is on the way..... so just bear that in mind before you spend your cash! source - commander bond, usa today
