Cannes 2015: Mid-Point Review Of The Festival (Video)

Just over halfway through, what's the best and worst of the fest?

It's been a rollercoaster ride of sun and screenings and Cannes 2015 is over halfway done. It's been an exciting festival, with plenty of big talking points and a fair bit of controversy. Looking at the films themselves, the likes of Carol, Amy and Son Of Saul have earned rave reviews while others - namely The Sea Of Trees - have taken the brunt of critical hate. And then you have all the Out Of Competition films, including Inside Out and Mad Max: Fury Road, which are destined to be the two major contenders for movie of the summer. With so many different films screening and various opinions being flung about, it's about time things were clarified. We sat down with James Partridge of AdmitOne.co.nz and Peter Turner of TasticFilm.com to single out the best, worst and most surprising films of the festival, as well as throw their opinions into the ring of who will win the coveted Palme d'Or. Check out the video above.
