Captain America: Civil War - 10 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know (Nov 5)

The good, the bad and the very possibly made up...

In six months time, the most inappropriately named Marvel movie of all time will land in cinemas, confirming once and for all how wrong everyone was to expect it to be anything like the Civil War comic book event. Inevitably, because Marvel are so far encouraging an organic marketing environment in which anyone with a wifi connection and half an idea of how films work can get over-excited and fill in the gaps with theories and rumours, there's a lot of possibilities for how the film will turn out. You have to suspect that at least some of the rumours are actually on to something. Maybe that's idealism, but in the interest of feeding the fandom's thirst for information (until Marvel actually decide to debut any footage), it's important to chart and rate everything that purports to spoil or reveal key details about the hugely anticipated trilogy ender. You know, for science. The latest raft of stories includes the inevitable Spidey focus, a non-outrageous Anthony Mackie interview and a smattering of romance, death and betrayal. Hop on board the soap opera that is Civil War...

10. The Spider-Man Reveal Is Coming

According to a not-at-all reputable source on Twitter, Marvel will use their relationship with Entertainment Weekly to unveil Tom Holland's new Spider-Man very soon, with a Civil War cover and the traditionally revelatory special feature. Rating: 8/10 Depending on which week you mean, at least. Almost immediately after the rumour appeared, Entertainment Weekly unveiled their cover for the following week, which was dedicated to Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them for some reason (it's not out for a year and a bit, but whatever). Maybe they meant the other "next week"? Look, it's likely Entertainment Weekly will have a Civil War cover sooner or later, and yes, Spider-Man probably will be a big part of it. So maybe a banker anyway.
