Confirmed: MAD MAX: FURY ROAD leads to FURIOSA; two movies back-to-back!!!

A rumour broke yesterday at Twitch that the reason behind the lengthy 9 month Oz shoot that Tom Hardy spoke of last week in regards to Mad Max: Fury Road was because George Miller is shooting two movies back-to-back. They reported that Miller's story got so epic, that he had to split his tale into two - Mad Max: Fury Road which would then be followed soon after by Mad Max: Furiosa. Eyebrows were raised (mostly at that awful title) but Drew McWeeny has confirmed the story today at Hitfix. It's official - we we are indeed getting two Mad Max movies, and Drew is probably right when he says the end of the first movie will be Tom Hardy passing the mantle onto his Aussie co-star Charlize Theron (who seems to now be on board, despite us being unsure last week). The reason being that Furiosa, the sub-heading of the second movie, is just the feminine version of "furious" in Italian or Portuguese. Drew also confirms that Teresa Palmer definitely won't be the film after the scheduling conflict on I Am Number Four. Miller's been trying for so long to get this movie made, and now he's managed to secure funding at 20th Century Fox to make two back-to-back? WOW. Hard not to put this movie very high on the most anticipated movies currently in development list.
