I, like so many millions out there, am of the belief that Quentin Tarantino is one of this generations finest filmmakers. He's more than just a writer and director, the man is a true cinematic visionary and it's for this reason that from the moment Django Unchained was even announced, it's been at the back of almost every cinephile's mind practically 24/7. Set for a unique release on Christmas day in the states, Django Unchained promises a lot of things; so many things in fact that I can imagine lesser directors crumbling under the pressure exerted by their own set standard. Yes, as you can probably already glean, I'm tremendously excited about Django Unchained and I have been since its initial announcement, however with the relatively recent release of the second trailer and the imminent release date rapidly approaching, my anticipation is really starting to come to the boil.
