Downey Jr. talks Iron Man & Hulk gets release date

HULK074.jpgWith the casting of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, the superhero film went from being a movie I was curious about seeing to a movie that I can't wait to see. Yes folks, I think they really nailed it with the casting on this one.... just perfect. Anyway, Tony Stark himself was talking to Superhero hype about all things Iron Man.... "What I will do is a lot of motion capture so that the movement isn't just some random stunt guy. A lot of time I look at CGI and I'm like'What's the reference for this? This looks like a cartoon reference not a person." So as expected it's going to be mostly a CGI suit. I'm down with that, the CGI on Ghost Rider looks pretty cool, if it can match up to that then why not? "I went after it like a greyhound after a rabbit," he said when asked whether Favreau approached him or whether he went after the part. "I loved Marvel and 'Iron Man' to me is the goods. Now that's the stuff you want to hear from actors cast in roles like this. Somebody who actually WANTS to do it and has respect for the source material. I really think they are going to deliver the goods on this one, everything so far has been spot on. Iron Man is set to be released on May 2nd 2008. For those who care the "reimaging" of the Hulk franchise will hit cinema's a couple of months later on June 27th to be directed by and I quote from the Marvel press release.... "rising star" Louis Leterrier who's credits include Transporter 2 and Unleashed. Well it can't be worse than Ang Lee's version, surely? source - coming soon
