Yeah, it's probably not going to work.

New footage of Avengers: Endgame screened at CinemaCon has revealed more of the team's plan to beat Thanos.

It was the turn of Walt Disney to present their upcoming slate at CinemaCon yesterday, which included new looks at Aladdin, The Lion King, and Toy Story 4, but the biggest in terms of hype is Endgame. We're now just a few weeks away from the movie's release, and with tickets on sale Marvel are really starting to ramp up the hype machine (as if it needs it) for the film.

As per ComicBook.com, it begins with a cocky Captain Marvel wanting to face - and kill - Thanos, Steve Rogers telling them they need to work as a team, and Nebula telling the rest of the team that she knows where he is: the Garden. Rocket discovers that he used the Stones again, and that's where Captain Marvel has her fairly straightforward plan: go to Thanos, get the Stones, and undo the Snap.

The team mostly agree, although Bruce Banner has some reservations about what's different, but again that's where Captain Marvel's self-belief comes in, telling them that before they didn't have anyone as strong as her. It's at that point we get the previously revealed scene of Thor summoning Stormbreaker and saying: "I like this one."

Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Rhodey, Thor, Steve, Nebula, and Rocket then fly into space in the Benatar, with Rocket warning those who haven't been into space before that they better not throw up in his ship. It then apparently ends with Steve Rogers saying "Let’s go get this son of a bitch" as they blast off to face Thanos, as seen in the latest teaser.

The footage largely fits with what was reportedly shown to Disney shareholders earlier this year, albeit with a much more detailed description since press were there to see it this time. What's particularly interesting is that Tony isn't with the team at this point, despite being with Cap and Thor as they approach Thanos (in the shot when he has his new sword), and that this plan is obviously going to fail. This likely comes very early on in this movie, before they get the white suits and develop the Quantum Realm plan, which presumably comes after they get beat and then the time jump.
