Excellent New TV Spot For Mad Max Fury Road

Fury Road will get its Cannes premiere on May 14th.

Mad Max Fury Road Tom Hardy One of the biggest challenges in cutting trailers and promos for the new Mad Max movie Fury Road is that the film is made up, pretty much, of one huge, epic action sequence in the same, huge expanse of desert. Add to this the short order of dialogue in the new picture - much less than a feature film usually affords - and it becomes clear how hard it would be to cut the traditional promo from this material. On the other hand - wow, what material. Every frame has been striking, exciting, often literally explosive stuff. Cinematographer John Seale has really worked his magic here, and the stunt team already deserve a standing ovation, on the basis of just the fragments that have already been used. Here's a new TV spot that has as much variation in the footage as we've seen so far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IOwCHCgoMU There's another full trailer for the film coming tomorrow night, at 6pm BST, and we'll be sure to bring it to you then. Fury Road will get its Cannes premiere on May 14th, just one day ahead of its UK and US wide release. Nice to know we won't all be left hanging for too long after the reviews come in because I've got a real expectation that they're going to be glowing.
