Famke Janssen to lead 100 Feet

Famke_Janssen_som_Je_94693c.jpgFamke Janssen who seems to get hotter the older she gets, has signed on to lead the supernatural horror 100 Feet. Eric Red wrote the movie and is set to direct what will be his first movie in a decade. Red's most famous claim to fame is that he wrote the scripts to Near Dark and the original Hither movie. Red spoke of his decision to cast Janssen with Arrow in the Head.... "We've been fortunate to cast Famke Janssen in the role of Marnie...Famke is a beautiful actress of great presence and intelligence, completely dedicated to the realism of character and performance....I'm certain the audience will adore watching her. I'm incredibly excited. Nobody could play the part better!" The decision to cast Janssen has just peaked my interest in the movie. 100 Feet follows Marine who is granted early release from her prison sentence for manslaughter of her husband (apparently in self defence) on the condition that she remains in her home and wears an electronic tag. Effectively she can't leave the house. The twist is, her dead husband's ghost is haunting her in the home, intent on killing her and getting his revenge! Like it. Pretty neat idea for a film and if Red can sustain the tension and fear throughout then it should turn out pretty good. Casting someone as talented as Janssen certainly does the movie no harm! source - arrow in the head, coming soon
