Fifty Shades of Grey: 10 Actors Who Must Play Christian Grey

Whether you€™re a fan or not, there€™s no two ways about it, Fifty Shades of Grey is going to be adapted into a film. The wildly popular erotic trilogy by E.L. James has topped the bestseller lists whilst also dividing opinions; some claim it turns housewives into sex kittens while others believe the book is degrading to woman. Either way, the film is going to be made and people are going to watch it. From Warner Bros to Mark Walberg, Hollywood has expressed a keen interest in the film, and due to its sexual content it will be interesting to see how Hollywood tackles the adaption. A part of me would love someone like Lars Von Trier to have a go but instead screenwriter Kelly Marcel has been given the green light. Marcel€™s credits include the upcoming €œSaving Mr. Banks€ with Tom Hanks and the pre-historic dinosaur drama Terra Nova. Neither of these are particularly saucy leaving people to question her suitability, including Bret Easton Ellis, author of American Psycho and notorious for his opinionated tweets, who blasted the following into the Twittersphere:
Kelly Marcel?!? KELLY MARCEL?!? Kelly Marcel is WRITING the script for 'Fifty Shades of Grey'?!? THIS is the movie they want to make? ARGH.
Sorry Bret, the writer has been set and now the next step is to worry ourselves about who will be cast. Who can play the 21-year-old sex slave Anna and the business savvy 26-year-old Chrisitan Grey? There were once rumours that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would play the couple, but in light of recent affairs I think that could be a little awkward. When deciding who should play Mr. Grey we need a quick low down on the protagonist. He makes 100,000 dollars an hour as CEO of Grey Enterprises. He€™s a control freak. At fifteen he lost his virginity to a friend of his mother€™s who introduced him to the world of BDSM. He€™s disarmed by Anna€™s innocence and lack of experience and he just loves signing contracts.
