First Halloween pics of Dr. Loomis and Laurie Strode

First pics have come through of Malcolm McDowell playing the Donald Pleasence role of Dr. Loomis in the Halloween remake, along with a shot of our lead character Laurie Strode and her friends. They have done a decent job of giving McDowell that "lazy eye" look that Pleasence had, I'm banking on McDowell to do a decent job here. As far as the new Laurie Strode goes (middle one in the pic) she doesn't do anything for me. She looks way too "bookish" and uninteresting but at least the three look good together, so the chemistry should be there. One pitfall this remake can't afford to fall into is making Laurie Strode too "geeky" so that we really don't care about her character and are quite happy for her to be killed off. She needs to be likeable and interesting. Don't forget that guys! Some more tidbits from Zombie's halloween. According to his Myspace page, Micky Dolenz from The Monkee's will have a cameo in the flick as the owner of a gun shop!!! and Alice Cooper's daughter Calico will also have a small role according to her official site.
