First Look: Dori, Nori, Ori - Three Dwarves From THE HOBBIT!

The three brother dwarves, part of twelve that accompany Thorin for Bilbo's 'Unexpected Journey', in full costume and to accurate proportions!

Last month Peter Jackson granted us our very first look at Martin Freeman's Bilbo Baggins and an iconic shot of a returning Ian McKellen as the wholesome wizard Gandalf (he would later grace the cover of Empire magazine), an unexpected but welcomed gem from the currently filming out in New Zealand LOTR prequel The Hobbit. Now Coming Soon have dropped our first look at three dwarves, Dori (Mark Hadlow), Nori (Jed Brophy) and Ori (Adam Brown) in full costume and sized to accurate proportions!! These dwarves are three brothers, part of twelve that accompany Thorin for Bilbo's 'Unexpected Journey' that makes for the subtitle of Part I of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. This very much looks like a teaser/promo still for now and is clearly not an image from the film itself as the previous ones were but it'll certainly tide us over for now. Particularly sweet, for me at least, is our first glimpse at Jed Brophy's Nori (middle) - a Peter Jackson vet who was the memorable face behind the Orcs Snaga and Sharku in The Lord of the Rings and who would also work on King Kong € Peter Jackson nailed the casting of the Lord of the Rings and was the chemistry between the main hobbits that really gave the film it's emotion and heart. Can't wait to see how these guys interact with each other but sadly I will have too as the movie doesn't open till Dec. 14th, 2012.
