GET SMART director helms Stiller's LITTLE FOCKERS

Back in February we were told that one of the following would direct LITTLE FOCKERS, the third movie in Universal's lucrative "Meet the" franchise.

Peyton Reed (THE BREAK-UP, YES MAN) Paul Weitz (ABOUT A BOY, IN GOOD COMPANY) David Wain (ROLE MODELS)
Which makes it suprising today when Variety announce that director Peter Segal (GET SMART, 50 FIRST DATES) has landed the gig. meettheparents1 LITTLE FOCKERS will begin production sometime this year from franchise writer John Hamburg's script and will once again see Ben Stiller as a man whose bad luck puts him in a bad light for his wife Teri Polo and her parents Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner. The title of course hints to the fact they now have children of their own. Back in February we also heard that Owen Wilson, the former boyfirend of Polo would have a much bigger role this time around.
