Glass Trailer 2 Reactions: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

2. The Action Looks Pretty Rough

Though the action from the first trailer seemed to suggest Shyamalan was sensibly keeping things practical and grounded, the second trailer sadly isn't quite so convincing.

From the rather naff-looking digital model of The Beast (James McAvoy) crawling up a wall, to the blurry shot of him throwing a CGI door at a cheerleader's head, and that climactic visual of the Beast and Dunn flying through a window, it all looks shockingly cheap.

The latter shot is especially bizarre given that it looked decidedly better in the first trailer, yet here more CGI fog has been added, which the pair awkwardly fade into as they fall out of the window.

Sure, Shyamalan still has a few months to hone the effects, but as history has taught us time and time again, it rarely ends up looking much better in the final movie.
