Harley Quinn's Origin And More Plot Hints In New Suicide Squad TV Spot

It feels like Suicide Squad has been taking forever. Warner Bros. released the first trailer (somewhat reluctantly) over a year before release and since then its been a very gradual drip-feed of slight information that has really teased out the journey. Beyond the base concept, the vibrant, inventively-scored follow-up trailers and interviews havent really told us much about what to expect; the formers all about selling a dark version of Guardians Of The Galaxy and the latter is basically Jared Leto misunderstanding method acting.

Now that the films less than two months away, however, expect things to shift into gear and more details to be unveiled; already weve got a new TV spot that features some pretty massive plot points.

Most show-stoppingly is a bit more of what appears to be Harley Quinns origin, with Joker laughing manically holding his former doctor after she's fallen into a vat of acid. Its further reaffirmation that we're getting an approximation of the New 52 version of the story and reveals the Joker's gleeful mood at what he's cooked up - as unhinged as we've grown to expect from Leto.

Less obvious, but perhaps more interestingly, is the suggestion (I can't 100% say reveal because it could be just tricksy trailer editing) that Enchantress is there in the White House meeting where Amanda Waller first proposes the Squad. Where Cara Delevingne's possessed witch fits into the story is still unclear, with a villain role seeming most plausible, but this throws a spanner in the works a little.
