Harrison Ford Is Joining The Expendables 3!

2305Y_large_verge_medium_landscape You gotta love the fact that Twitter delivers casting news these days. Still, this is actually pretty cool news and it€™s certainly a surprise to me. Sylvester Stallone just tweeted a pretty big and intriguing casting change for the upcoming The Expendables 3. Looks like Bruce Willis is out as Church, but in a turn that will have fans saying €œWillis who?€, Stallone went on to say that Harrison Ford has joined the cast. The whole tweet, expressed in the giddy exuberance of a fourteen-year old girl texting, said: "WILLIS OUT, HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!" It€™s easy to understand Stallone€™s excitement, as Ford marks a different caliber of player for the series, which started by dragging the likes of Dolph Lundgren back into the light of day. Ford will join Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Kellan Lutz, Rona Rousy and Victor Ortiz. Rumors are out there too that Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Milla Jovovich and the mad cinema god Nicolas Cage might also star. Ford, surprisingly, is having one of his busiest years in decades right now, starring in Relativity€™s Paranoia next week, overseeing those crazy alien-fighting kids in Ender€™s Game in November, and joining Ron Burgundy in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Personally, I€™m holding out for a fist fight between Lone Wolf McQuade and Indiana Jones, complete with a scene where Ford rips off Norris€™ beard and proclaims he€™s captured the golden fleece. Patrick Hughes steps into the director€™s chair for the third Expendables chapter, which will show up in theaters next August 15th. What do you think? Is Ford a good choice, or will he just add more brittleness to the geriaction already on display?
