Has One Of The Villains From Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Been Revealed?

The rumour goes that this character will at least make some sort of appearance.

Geek.com are sharing an exclusive, spoiler-ish rumour that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will feature an appearance from none other than (and, if it wasn't clear from the headline, SPOILERS, PEOPLE) Ego, the Living Planet. Sources close to the production have allegedly let slip that the malevolent planet-with-a-beard will supposedly turn up in the anticipated sequel. For how long and in what capacity, is anyone's guess. It could even be a simple easter egg. Hell, Ego might not even be in the film at all (it's a rumour, at the end of the day). For those not in the know, Ego was a regular planet until some crazy space-Gandalf named The Stranger came along and just gave him consciousness. Just like that. Ego would then go on to roam the universe starting sh*t on other planets. He also had a pretty big ego. If he does turn up in the movie I'm not sure how seriously audiences would be able to take it. And that's talking about a franchise with talking raccoons and trees. But done right, it could be a great nod to fans (where else are we going to see Ego the Living Planet? In his own Netflix show?) or just simply a hilarious joke. Imagine Chris Pratt's reaction if he saw a giant, talking planet. With a beard. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is released on 5 May 2017.
