Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Predicts New Daily Show Host

Aaaaand it's the person everybody wants it to be!

It would've been a impressively prescient prediction coming from anyone, but especially from the sequel to Hot Tub Time Machine, the comedy film about a...hot tub time machine. This week Jon Stewart announced he would be stepping down as the host of satirical Comedy Central news series The Daily Show after fifteen years, and since then the internet has been abuzz with rumours about who might replace him. Well, they might already have an answer. According to the upcoming Hot Tub Time Machine 2, it will be fan favourite Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams who will step up to hosting duties. The sequel to the ridiculous (but kind of enjoyable) 2010 comedy movie sees stars Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry and Clark Duke heading into the future with their timeline-traversing jacuzzi, where they get a glimpse at things yet to come.
One of which involves a version of The Daily Show - which Corddry previously appeared on - where Jon Stewart has long since abandoned his post, replaced with viral star Williams. Which is kind of eerie, what with this movie having written and filmed a good year before Stewart made his announcement. Whether the same clip's predictions that Jennifer Lawrence will be knighted and Neil Patrick Harris becomes president come true, meanwhile... Hot Tub Time Machine 2 comes out later this month.
